Hall Health Travel Clinic offers pre-travel counseling, immunizations, and health advice for adults and children who are planning to travel out of the U.S. or Canada. The clinic is a Washington State Department of Health-designated center for yellow fever vaccine.

Pre-travel consultations are available by appointment. Travelers will be asked to complete a questionnaire regarding travel plans. It is important to bring all immunization records available.

Because several weeks may be required to complete a needed vaccine series, we recommend the initial appointment be held at least 4 weeks before departure. You should telephone for an appointment two weeks before that, if possible. When this is not possible, we will meet your travel health needs as completely as the time we have allows.

The consultation includes:

• Country-by-country analysis of your itinerary, anticipated activities, and review of previous immunizations to develop an individualized plan.
• Advice on malaria prophylaxis and needed prescriptions. Prescriptions are filled at the traveler's expense. Rubenstein Pharmacy at Hall Health is available for travel prescriptions
• Information and prescriptions for medications to help prevent or treat illnesses while traveling.

  Please note there are two different travel clinics located at the UW. We (UW Travel Clinic) are located on Upper Campus in Hall Health, across from the HUB. If you are looking for the Travel Medicine Service at UWMC, please visit their website.

  International Certificate of Vaccination as approved by the World Health Organization.

In spite of the best planning and preventive measures, accidents and illnesses can happen when traveling. Hall Health Primary Care Center offers excellent post-travel medical care; call for an appointment upon your return if you develop a fever or other illness, especially if you may have been exposed to malaria.
